Programme > InstructorsLaurent Romary is Directeur de Recherche at Inria, France and former director of DARIAH. He received a PhD degree in computational linguistics in 1989 and his Habilitation in 1999. He carries out research on the modelling of semi-structured documents, with a specific emphasis on texts and linguistic resources. He has been active in standardisation activities with ISO, as chair of committee ISO/TC 37/SC 4 (2002-2014), chair of ISO/TC 37 (2016-) and the Text Encoding Initiative, as member (2001-2011) and chair (2008-2011) of its technical council. He has been involved in the definition of the scientific information policy of CNRS (2005-2006), the Max-Planck Digital Library (2006-2008) and Inria (2006-). Toma Tasovac is director of the Belgrade Center for Digital Humanities (BCDH) and director of DARIAH-EU. His areas of interest include lexicography, data modeling, TEI, digital editions and research infrastructures. Toma was previously a Steering Group member of the European Network for eLexicography (ENeL), and is currently also affiliated with the European Lexicographic Infrastructure (ELEXIS). Marie Puren Ph.D., is junior researcher in Digital Humanities at the French National Institute for computer science and applied mathematic (Inria) in Paris, member of the Almanach laboratory (INRIA – EPHE). As collaborator to the PARTHENOS H2020 project, she focuses her research on the development of standards for research tools in Arts and Humanities, and she currently works on the creation of a Data Management Plan for this project. Marie Puren also contributes to the IPERION H2020 project, especially by upgrading its Data Management Plan. Jack Bowers is a PhD candidate working on a language documentation project of the Mixtepec-Mixtec language (spoken Juxtlahuaca district, Oaxaca Mexico at the École Pratique des Hauts Études in collaboration with team ALMAnaCH at Inria (Paris). At the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) - Austrian Center for Digital Humanities (ACDH), he works as a research assistant on issues related to data modeling, standardization, and corpus management, with a focus on TEI. His projects include the ongoing DBÖ (Datenbank der bairischen Mundarten in Österreich) and WBÖ (Wörterbuch der bairischen Mundarten in Österreich). He is a co-author of the TEI Lex-0 (Etymology, Forms) and is a member of ISO TC 37/SC 4 “Language resource management” committee and co-project leader of ISO 24613-3 (LMF) “Diachrony and Etymology.” Axel Herold has been working as a junior researcher at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and the Humanities (Berlin) since 2008 where he participated in several lexicographic projects. His areas of interest include linguistic data modeling and electronic lexicography. As a member of the Centre for Historical Lexicography, he currently develops web-services for automatic access to historical dictionaries and standardized formats for lexicographical resources. Axel Herold is also affiliated with the École Pratique des Hautes Études (Paris) where he is currently pursuing a PhD on information extraction and modeling for etymological dictionaries. Mohamed Khemakhem is a PhD candidate at Paris 7 University and Inria-ALMAnaCH lab, DIN expert of the ISO TC 37/SC 4 "Language resource management" committee and co-project leader of ISO 24613-4 (LMF) “TEI serialisation”. His research work is focused on the automatic structuring of digitised documents, mainly retro-digitised dictionaries, into TEI compliant resources. He is the main developer of the GROBID-Dictionaries infrastructure and the tutor of the GROBID-Dictionaries workshop series. |
